CIL is deeply proud of our legacy. We are honored to stand on the shoulders of trailblazers like our founder Beverly Chapman and many others who have shaped the disability rights movement here in Central Florida. Their leadership laid the foundation for the work we carry forward today.

With an average annual population growth of 5.2% in Central Florida, CIL must continuously innovate, connect, and engage to meet increasing community needs. In the most recent fiscal year, our team served 1,285 individuals across a service area spanning more than 150 miles. 

CIL is ready to meet the moment with momentum and impact. As we approach our golden anniversary, we are proud to launch the 50th Anniversary Campaign:

“50 Years of Impact. A Future Without Limits.”

This bold initiative is designed to expand community awareness, strengthen internal capacity, and support the estimated 185 individuals with disabilities moving to Central Florida every week. Throughout this campaign, we remain grounded in our mission, to empower people with disabilities to achieve their goal of independence.
